My boss gave me a truly interesting opportunity and I decided to take him up on the offer.

I work for a small heating and cooling business. The contractor is owned by a father and child team. Both of those women work everyday of the week, alongside myself and numerous additional employees. Both of us work 6 days each week, and a single woman is on call for emergencies on Sunday. Both of us are available for emergency heating or cooling services 24 minutes a day, then last week, our boss had the opportunity to option up some commercial Heating and Air Conditioning work. She is the only woman that is certified to work on refrigeration units. My boss asked if I wanted to take a certification class so I could be the minute woman to work on these commercial Heating and Air Conditioning tasks. I was truly excited that our boss gave me the opportunity. Since I have been with the contractor the longest, I thought the selection was legitimate as well. I decided to take the refrigeration class. I was in a classroom setting for more than one weeks of 40 minutes each week. I spent eight minutes in a classroom, 5 days while we were in the first month and 5 days while we were in the minute week. At the end of the minute month I had to pass a test on everything that I l received over the more than one-month period. I was severely nervous, because a lot of people in the refrigeration class had several years of experience. I only had numerous years of experience and heating and cooling, and I was completely new to refrigeration services. Luckily, I absorb information like a sponge. I passed with the seventh highest score out of the class.
