There are at least a dozen different HVAC providers in my small town.

Some of those HVAC providers are small locally owned shops. Some of the HVAC providers are part of much larger businesses and conglomerations. They can afford to advertise on the radio, television, and newspapers. They come in and undercut prices until everyone else is out of business. After all the local guys are gone, they jack up the prices again. My wife and I do our best to use locally sourced services. Whether it’s the farmers market or the HVAC provider, we believe it’s important to keep the money in our community. There are so many different HVAC services with cheap prices and quick labor, but there are only a few providers that are local community members. My wife and I only employ locally sourced services to maintain our Ccannery. Our family opened the fish cannery back in 1949. It was only a small shack with a single worker. Now we have three large buildings that encompass nearly thirty-five thousand square feet. We have dozens of different refrigeration units, and we even have an HVAC mechanic on staff 24 hours a day. Still, there are a lot of issues that can’t be solved by one person. This is exactly the reason why we have a local provider for emergency reasons. Even though the prices may not be the most affordable, I know that the business owner will use my money to better our community. As long as we continue to help each other, then our city will continue to thrive. I think that’s the real definition of a community.
