I was miserable the one day I found our more than one year old putting toys and food in the ductwork. He laughed at myself and others when I caught him and I told him he can’t play in the ductwork like that. Still, he kept removing the HVAC vent and getting in there no matter how many times I tried to close the HVAC vent and secure it so he couldn’t get inside the ductwork. Eventually, I decided the people I was with and I easily should not even have ductwork. The HVAC system was entirely old anyway, so I ended up calling the HVAC supplier to see about ductless HVAC installations. I l received all about ductless multi-split systems which sounded perfect for our situation… Not only would the people I was with and I not have to worry about our child reaching into the filthy ductwork anymore, however the people I was with and I would have a highly energy efficient system with different zones. All the different zones I l received would have customized temperature control settings, making it easier to save large money on the utility bills. If you’re only hanging out in the kitchen with everybody, you can only have that zone comfortable while not wasting energy providing heating or cooling to the rest of the house. If you are cooking in the kitchen, you can focus the AC in there so it doesn’t become so warm. So I ended up having the old ductwork system obstructed off and had the ductless multi-split installed. So far the people I was with and I are romantic the current system, it’s entirely comfortable. Of course, our more than one year old isn’t too cheerful that he can’t get into the ductwork anymore.
