The other day when I went down to the basement to do some laundry, I swore I heard water hitting the floor. When I turned the corner, I hastily was able to see that water was indeed leaking from the Heating, Ventilation, as well as A/C component as well as there was a pool of water at the base of the Heating, Ventilation, as well as A/C equipment. I immediately went to the thermostat to turn off my cooling plan as well as carefully observed the Heating, Ventilation, as well as A/C unit. I ended up looking online for what this issue could be just in case it was something straight-forward to solve as well as didn’t require a certified Heating, Ventilation, as well as A/C expert, then sure enough, I found the information I needed on an respected Heating, Ventilation, as well as A/C website where they had a full section talking about what the complication could be with a leaking cooling system. It was saying that the A/C coil could be frozen as well as the thawing action could be causing the leak. The most likely cause of the water leak though would be a blockage in the condensation line. I study how most basements use a pump to push condensation out of the house, usually through a drain or straight to the outside of the home. So I ended up pulling the condensation line out of the pump as well as made sure to clear the line of any clogs with my wet vac as well as when I turned the A/C back on as well as ran it for awhile, there were no more leaks! I’m pretty sure the line was just plugged as well as I was able to clear it. If I have any concerns with the A/C coil though, I’m going to have to call in the professionals, so we’ll see.
