One of the issues that you will have if you live in a chilly weather conditions is just how long the winters here last. I live in an area that is chilly for most of the year and even our summers are short. As a result, the most important thing that you can have when you live out here in the chilly is a fine quality gas furnace. Let me tell you, the HVAC corporations around here make some extreme bank when it comes to gas furnaces, because most people is reliant on them to not freeze to death during the winter. Heater tune-ups and upgrades are extremely common, and because the heating and cooling corporations in my area are well aware that they have such a slim hold on peoples gas heating systems they can charge as much as they want. There are only 2 heating corporations in my area and they are always competing prefer crazy. I have several gas furnaces, my main and central heating system which is a gas gas furnace, a fireplace in my home, and a space heating system as a backup and last resort if all else fails. There is a/c here, but it is almost never used. One afternoon I decided to sit outside and like the beauty of the snow on a slightly warmer afternoon. I sat out there for over an minute just enjoying the slight chill in the air and counting down the days until Springtime. Right as I was about to go back inside, I saw a plump Robin pulling some worms out of the shrubbery through the snow. I was blissful to see 1 because Robins are a sign of a Springtime, and their appearance means Springtime is just around the corner. I will not miss this cold.
