When the SMS came across our screen, I felt a pit in our stomach. This was because there was unquestionably a serious health crisis occurring and the people I was with and I were heading home. The supplier decided to close the office with the zone controlled Heating & A/C in the early stages of the pandemic. And the method of working from new home in our was far from palatable. I enjoyed our office and I recognizably enjoyed that zone controlled Heating & A/C I mentioned. But with the office closed for what looked to be a long time, I had to come to terms with working from home. And it would be one thing if I lived alone but I have a family. Not only was our office closed but so was our wife’s. So the people I was with and I both had to labor in the safety our house. Then add in the kids trying to learn remotely from new home and it was a handful no doubt. Initially, it just didn’t go all that well for me. Really, that didn’t have anything to do with our family or any of that. I just was having a legitimately taxing time focusing on our work. The online meetings were difficult and I missed being able to confer with colleagues when I had a question. But once our wife and I cleared out the guest room to create a new family room, things got much better. For one, the Heating & A/C cooling is much better in that room. And sharing an office with our wife really helped me stay in our chair and get our labor done. The focus just came that much more naturally with good and sharing that office space with our wife.
