My child got his Heating, Ventilation, and A/C certification, and I am giving him work
There is a nice line between supporting and encouraging your youngsters, and carrying them, then i do not recognize it benefits a young guy for their parents to do too much for them early on… They need to learn responsibility and toil ethic, and that cannot happen if they do not work.
That said, if a child or young guy works tough and puts in maximum effort, that should be rewarded. I have followed that path with our children, and in our estimation have gotten good results! My youngest child Ethan just finished up with night school after deciding he did not want to go to university, however he told me his plan, to get certified for Heating, Ventilation, and A/C work, get a task, and toil his way up through the ranks of the dealer. It was a good plan, he had done his research, and had decided that studying heating and cooling repair would allow him to lead the life he wanted to live! Something else I taught the youngsters is “work to live, don’t live to work” and Ethan thought that Heating, Ventilation, and A/C would be his perfect path for that philosophy. He passed his certification test, got an internship with a local Heating, Ventilation, and A/C contractor, and has been doing just good for himself! Since then, as a way of rewarding his tough work, I have been paying him to some personal temperature control projects for me around the house. It’s good practice for him, he works cheap, and now I have a good new ventilation plan installed in our dining room love I’ve typically wanted!
