When my great aunt Ida died, she left her house to me.

I was always her favorite nephew.

We spent a lot of time together in that house. I like sitting on the porch with my aunt. We listened to the sounds of the birds and the creek behind the house. When my aunt died, I was living with my wife in the city. We didn’t want to move to the country, but I didn’t want to sell the house. I thought we might move to the country one day. My wife and I decided to fix up that house and rent it out. We made a lot of changes in the house. We got rid of the old fixtures in the kitchen and the bathroom and replaced all of the cabinets. One of the biggest changes we made was to the flooring. We got rid of the old shag carpet in the living room and the three bedrooms. My wife and I decided to replace the carpet with something nicer. We went to the carpet Supercenter and found a plush carpet with stain resistance and a five year warranty. I thought new carpets would really make the place look nice. We picked a color that would nicely match the new paint. Most of the renters were happy with the house and a lot of people commented on the new carpet. I think having new carpet made it a lot easier to rent the house. The place looked great and we got a couple with two children to sign a three-year lease.
