Warning me about the changes
Warning me about the changes
My awesome Heating & Air Conditioning tech warned myself and others this day was absolutely coming. And he gave myself and others the heads up over 2 years ago. The Heating & Air Conditioning at our house is not only outdated and outdated. It appears that it is on it’s way to being completely worthless. And I have known this with plenty of time to either prepare of transport another way. But I did absolutely nothing up to this point. With the advent of 2020, there will be a fairly significant change to the Heating & Air Conditioning industry. The very first day of the new year will be the first day that R 22 refrigerant will be illegal to manufacture in this country. While that may not affect a majority of homeowners and companies, I am caught on the wrong side. My old, tired heating and cooling system uses that very style of refrigerant. The thing still runs however is it worth the trouble? Our utility bills have been sliding way up over the last few years. This is the first large sign that the Heating & Air Conditioning could be getting ready to quit. It entirely doesn’t make a fantastic deal of sense to continue on with an Heating & Air Conditioning component that is falling apart and uses a soon to be banned refrigerant. My chances are limited. I either load up on R 22 and hope for the best. Or, I do the smart thing and substitute the outdated heating and cooling system that is currently killing our weekly utility budget. I’m afraid the answer is crystal clear. The outdated component has to go. The Heating & Air Conditioning supplier said that they can find myself and others a substitutement model that will fit our budget.
