When I was talking to our neighbor the other afternoon, I asked him why it was so cold in his house.

I wondered if the oil furnace was having issues or something.

He said it was nothing care about that, it was just that he was utilizing energy saving tips. He said he regularly lowered the oil furnace to a level where he had to wear a sweater in the apartment as well as he advocated that I do the same. I didn’t have a sweater though, only our Winter time coat. That’s when he let myself and others borrow his hoodie. I asked him how much he absolutely saved from utilizing these energy saving tips. When he showed myself and others his energy bills, I was in disbelief. My energy bills were at least twice as much as his as well as he had a larger condo than mine! So I had to ask what other energy saving tips he was using in order to save such an overwhelming amount of cash. He said number one, it was substantial to get a programmable temperature control or a smart temperature control. He explained that the smart temperature control was absolutely convenient with remote control as well as energy saving reports sent straight to your email! He said the smart temperature control alone was responsible for a giant chunk of his energy savings. He said it was substantial to put multiple appliances on a timer or unplug them when they are not being used. He talked about how appliances even when they are shut off will draw power even if they are not being used. Well, I had a ton of things clogged in, so that was a giant concern for me, although I realized I could save giant with all these energy saving tips.
