There is no doubt that I have enjoyed growing up and living my adult life up north until recently.

I’m a fan of just about everything in this section and that even includes the winter to some degree.

The older I’m getting, the less I care about getting out of the heating and A/C heating morning to shovel snow. Still, it’s great to have a white Christmas as well as I care about all the winter activities. However, my boss gave me a proposition that I just couldn’t refuse. The job I’ve wanted for such a long time finally became available. However, it wasn’t in the office up north. The position was in a sister office down south so I would have to relocate. This was difficult in some ways as well as easily easy in others. The system of not having to pay the exorbitant heating bills to run the furnace was a large positive. Moving to a place where I could really play golf, tennis and go hiking year round was another large plus. However, I would miss my family and friends for sure. Plus, my wife of many years point blank told me she wasn’t going with me. Still, I chose to go for the job I’ve always wanted and for the new digs. It’s been just over a year as well as I have to say that I made the right choice. The summer was difficult however the heat pump and all that heating and A/C cooling helped me manage. However, the other seven months of the year are pure bliss and I have nearly no heating bills at all. It’s that mild of a winter.
