There is no doubt that I have loved growing up and residing my adult life up north until recently.

• I’m a fan of just about everything in this part and that even includes the winter time to some degree.

The older I get, the less I like getting out of the heating and air conditioning on sub freezing days to shovel snow. Still, it’s superb to have a colorless Christmas and I enjoy all the winter time athletic activities. However, my company gave me a proposition that I just couldn’t refuse. The job I’ve wanted for such a long time finally became available. However, it wasn’t in the office up north. The position was in a sibling office down south so I would have to relocate. This was hard in some ways and genuinely straight-forward in others. The system of not having to pay the exorbitant heating bills to run the gas furnace was a large positive. Moving to a location where I could undoubtedly play golf, tennis and go hiking year round was another large plus. However, I would miss my family and friends for sure. Plus, my girlfriend of various years point blank told me she wasn’t going with me. Still, I chose to go for the job I’ve regularly wanted and for the new digs. It’s been just over a year and I have to say that I made the right choice. The summer was hard but the heat pump and all that heating and air conditioning cooling helped me manage. However, the other numerous months of the year are pure bliss and I have nearly no heating bills at all. It’s that mild of a winter.
