My parents were sticklers about the Heating plus A/C idea when I was growing up! My sibling and I were forbidden to touch the temperature control settings because my parents were convinced that they had it set the most efficiently.

One time, my sibling l gained the strenuous way that if you touch the temperature control settings, punishment will be enforced.

He was grounded for 2 weeks and unable to use his cell phone simply because he lowered the AC by 2 degrees, then witnessing this, I vowed to never touch the temperature control no matter how warm or cold I got. Whenever every one of us would go on getaway while I was in the winter, my parents would set the temperature control to 55 degrees! This was absurdly cold and by the time every one of us got cabin from our trip, our cabin felt like it was situated in the north pole! As my sibling and I got older, every one of us l gained more about Heating plus A/C systems through current technology and every one of us found better ways to heat and cool our cabin efficiently. I guess my sibling was still exasperated that he was grounded all those years ago for decreasing the temperature because when he found out that my parents weren’t honestly running their Heating plus A/C idea as efficiently as they had hoped, he had no problem proving to them that they weren’t, then setting their gas furnace to 55 degrees was honestly doing more harm than good, because it required a tremendous amount of energy to heat a cabin from that temperature. My parents were in disbelief when he told them, however they had no option however to think him when he showed them the proof!
