My A/C Unit Froze
My A/C Unit Froze
If I could go back in time, I would go back to Last yearand leave our A/C system alone. When I was convinced that the temperature was going to remain cool every morning, I turned off our A/C component plus turned on our gas furnace. I had been meaning to call the HVAC corporation to come tune our HVAC system before making the switch, even though I forgot plus I was running the heat with the hopes that nothing would go wrong. Thankfully, nothing did go wrong with our gas furnace, so I decided to bypass the HVAC tune up plus wait until the Spring, however just when I thought that the weather was going to remain cold, both of us experienced a few afternoons where the temperature spiked above 68 degrees. It was tepid plus the inside of our home was tepid despite opening the doors plus windows. Instead of sticking it out, I turned on our A/C component plus tried to cool our home. This is where things went wrong because only a few minutes into running our A/C component again plus I noticed a massive amount of water around our condenser unit. When I took a closer look, I noticed that our coils were frozen, but the heat from the sunlight was causing them to melt. I called the HVAC corporation immediately because I didn’t recognize the respected way to handle the frozen coils. The HVAC professional told myself and others that I’d set the temperature control too low, causing the coils to freeze immediately. I wish I would have left our A/C component alone!
