The bursting pipes were terrible in the winter
My HVAC service worker called me to inform me of the low temperatures.
He wanted me to be on the lookout, mostly because he had a central heating and cooling machine with 1 of the A/C components on the exterior. He was concerned that if discontinued, I would end up with bursting pipes that would be too high-priced to repair when the weather restored to its usual state. Unfortunately, he was a bit too late with the information as I made my way to the back to check the status of the pipes. It basically seems as though the snow had formed inside the pipes and caused them to burst open. The outdoor A/C machine easily seemed intact because of the rail cover, however we could not really tell! When he called again to ask about the situation, I explained what I was able to find. He said he would be there early the following morning bright and early. The weather subsided, and he came by to check out what was going on. There were many plumbing issues that he was able to repair since he worked as a handyman and HVAC machine expert all in 1. He knew which pipes to go for as a replacement and even carried his HVAC toolbox just in case he needed to work on any of the A/C machine components… Once the plumbing was all done, he turned to the A/C machine to check what needed to be professionally fixed. It turns out that there were a few loose wires that had affected the heating and cooling machine operation. He tightened them and replaced a fuse that had blown due to the power surge from the prior evening. I was glad to have everything back to normal working condition despite the financial dent it caused.
