I’ve never been a single who gets super excited about replacing upscale essentials. That goes for current car shopping even. For a single, I prefer to take care of the stuff I have. Getting the most value from my stuff is actually important to me. And it’s just sort of the way I approach my life. Still, nothing actually lasts forever as the people I was with and I know. So when the HVAC serviceman told us that our heat pump was on its last legs, I was sort of bummed. It wasn’t actually a surprise given the age of the HVAC equipment. Still, I didn’t actually want to have to get into all the stuff that went with replacing the HVAC. But it’s a wonderful thing that I took the HVAC professional seriously and started doing my due diligence. I met with an HVAC professional at the HVAC business. He helped me understand all the HVAC technology advancements. Over the last 25 years, there have been many advancements in residential HVAC. So it was wonderful to get an method of what would work from our home. But it was the HVAC business doing the inspection that actually changed everything. It turned out that the air ducts were also shot. That meant a lot of added expense and chaos in our apartment to rip out and upgrade all the ductwork. But the HVAC business had an alternative in the ductless multi chop heating and cooling equipment. So now, the people I was with and I have a series of ductless heat pumps throughout our house. And they work so great, are so efficient and I couldn’t be happier.
