That goes for new car shopping even.

For one, I like to take care of the stuff I have. Getting the most value from my stuff is really important to me. And it’s just sort of the way I approach my life. Still, nothing really lasts forever as we know. So when the HVAC technician told us that our heat pump was on its last legs, I was sort of bummed. It wasn’t actually a surprise given the age of the HVAC equipment. Still, I didn’t really want to have to get into all the stuff that went with replacing the HVAC. But it’s a good thing that I took the HVAC professional seriously and started doing my due diligence. I met with an HVAC professional at the HVAC company. He helped me understand all the HVAC technology advancements. Over the last 25 years, there have been numerous advancements in residential HVAC. So it was good to get an idea of what would work from our home. But it was the HVAC contractor doing the inspection that really changed everything. It turned out that the air ducts were also shot. That meant a lot of added expense and chaos in our home to rip out and replace all the ductwork. But the HVAC contractor had an alternative in the ductless multi split heating and cooling equipment. So now, we have a series of ductless heat pumps throughout our house. And they work so great, are so efficient and I couldn’t be happier.
