Summer and spring allergies – Facing them head-on
The new job was a game-changer, and I was stuck since I needed to move on
My dad always says that the best way to deal with a challenge is to face them head on. Nowhere did this advice apply more in my life than when I moved to a new town for work. I had applied for the job months back and had even forgotten about it when they finally called to inform me that I had gotten the prestigious position. The only issue was that I needed to move immediately, and it was in the middle of fall when it was allergy season. I had avoided leaving my parents’ house for as long as I could because the place was customized for my needs during such times. Since I was susceptible, the entire house had an air purification system, and the issue started from my childhood days. The doctor had advised them to find a way to keep the allergens away from me as much as possible, which would save them numerous trips to the doctor for emergency treatment. They discussed different solutions with my uncle, an excellent HVAC technician who owned an HVAC business and developed a whole-house purification system. This instantly changes my life as I was able to enjoy better sleep and experienced fewer attacks. I would still need to wear a mask when leaving the house, but during allergy season, I spent most of the time at home for health reasons and only net out when I needed to. The new job was a game-changer, and I was stuck since I needed to move on. My uncle advises that I get a house with an air-purifying system. It would cost more money to rent it, but it was the only way to survive in the new town as I figured the rest out.
