My daddy had been an excellent father, however his stubborn trait was something the people I was with and I all had to get used to, and being a military man, he liked order & people following his wishes to the letter.

When the outdated A/C system in our apartment began having issues, he opted to change it & get a heat pump.

Mom wasn’t ecstatic with this decision however didn’t want to fight with him. Dad passed on a year later, & mom opted to make a few changes, but one issue he had to tackle was the oil furnace in the house. However the heat pump had some benefits, but it mostly was a nuisance for mom. He informed me that dad had paid a lot of money to purchase it & install it in the house, and yet, the heating component wasn’t working effectively, so he wanted to change it. The apartment heat pump kept splitting down in winter, costing our mom a lot of money. Mom wanted to guess our opinion before making a decision! I proposed that she call an HVAC expert to the apartment to discuss the situation. Two mornings later, mom called back & told me he had consulted with an aircon specialist who saw sense in his issue. He had proposed to our mom to change the heating component & install a more energy-efficient heating, ventilation & A/C system with a smart temperature control. That way, she could regulate the energy consumption, enjoy better cooling & heating, & lower her biweekly electricity bill. It cost our mom some more money to replace the heat pump, although he was ecstatic with the quality heating, ventilation & A/C that was even eco-friendly. The heating, ventilation & A/C upgrade took a few mornings as the A/C worker cleaned out the ductwork & added some insulation to improve the air conditioning in our mom’s home.. The whole time I kept wishing that dad had listened to our mom’s wishes.
