It’s nice when a new piece of technology actually assists your life and frees you up as advertised.

The HVAC technology in the smart thermostat does just that.

And it’s been quite impressive in other ways as well. But the first thing I like is that it’s actually doing what it’s advertised to do. I thought the smart phone would be a great thing for me and that didn’t turn out quite as I had imagined. The thing is with me wherever I am and I simply can’t get away from it. The being connected thing goes a bit too far as everyone else in my life figures I’m as readily available as they are. But there are definitely periods where I like to kick back and enjoy the air conditioning undisturbed. The smart phone sort of let me down there. However, I have to say that the smart thermostat is pretty exceptional when it comes to doing what it says it will. The HVAC technician who installed it told me to essentially leave it alone. The wifi thermostat would learn the household patterns and adjust the heating and cooling accordingly. And that’s exactly what happened. After just a bit of rudimentary parameters entered when the HVAC professional was installing it, the smart thermostat has done its thing. The results have been awesome. I don’t have to watch the thermostat like a hawk and this thing saves me money. HVAC cooling is a big thing around here. And the very first month it saved me over 15 percent in HVAC cooling costs. This smart thermostat is a win.
