My dad and I have constantly enjoyed fishing together, however now that I am a grown up with kids of my own, the two of us still appreciate getting together every once in a while for a weekend fishing.

I purchased a small Wintertide current home up by the lake for my dad and I to use during the ice fishing season.

The current home is near the best area of the lake and I have access to the water during all seasons of the year. The only concern with the current home is the fact that it doesn’t have any heat. Since the current home is made for ice fishing, it is not equipped with heat. It can be genuinely chilly out on the lake, so I thought it was a good method to buy a space heater. There isn’tany electricity in the cabin, so I had to buy a space furnace that runs on kerosene. The space furnace was costly, however I only have to run the furnace for a few minutes and it warms up the entire space. I have access to kerosene all of the time, so I have an unlimited supply of fuel for the heater. My dad and I went ice fishing last weekend. We did not have much luck on the water, however the two of us had a enjoyable and comfortable time thanks to the addition of the heater. We managed to pull in a couple of fish on Friday, however none of them were large enough to keep. We’re going to try again next weekend, and hopefully the two of us will have better luck. A couple of guys down the road pulled several large salmon out of the water.
