It’s a bit creepy, for sure

I really prefer how nature takes back what is hers over time.

For example, there are a lot of abandoned buildings in my town.

You can find an apartment or old shop all boarded up around here just about every mile or so. Some people find them to be creepy. I prefer them, to be honest. Nature slowly starts to reclaim these old houses until there is nothing left of them to see anymore. Some of the ones in my area are nothing but a collapsed roof on top of rubble. Some have nothing left but a set of cement stairs leading nowhere. However, there is this one certain abandoned apartment that I do find a little bit creepy. That is because the a/c is still running. The family apartment has been abandoned for at least 2 years now but every time I walk by it I can easily hear the air conditioning blasting away. At first I thought that maybe somebody still lived there, somehow, however I believe for sure that they don’t. The roof is missing a bunch of shingles, I see that various windows have been broken, plus I can see inside. The place has been completely trashed. I am too much of a chicken to go inside of the old house. However, I have walked onto the creaky porch. I could believe the cool air from the air conditioning coming out of the window. Why would the air conditioning be running such as that. Clearly no one has changed the filter or had the air conditioning worked on in the past few years either. I will be sad when it finally dies too. But, as I said, nature will always win in the end.
