We went to the zoo last week but there was no heating
We went to the zoo last week for the first time in ages.
- We decided to wait and go to the zoo whenever the weather started heating up.
I don’t know how it is where you live, but it was a long cold winter where we are from. We are all definitely ready for warmer weather and high temperatures so we can go and enjoy the parks and the beach and things like that. The zoo is one of those things for us. I think that the zoo officials thought that it was summer already and they had already taken down the portable heaters that they usually have up here and there around the zoo. Usually, as soon as the temperatures start heating up around here, we immediately go to the zoo to see all of our favorite animals. Well, I guess we probably should have waited a little bit longer this year because the temperature felt way colder at the zoo than we thought it was going to be. The zoo is close to a lake and so I guess the wind off the lake made it feel much colder than it actually was outside. We were freezing by the time we got to the ticket gates! We tried to stay inside of the main buildings where they still had the heating systems going, but most of our favorite animal exhibits were outside in the cold, not inside where the heating was! It was a long, cold day and by the time we were done, I was almost frozen to the bone. By the time we got to the car at the end of the day, I was ready to sit in the car and turn the heating system on full blast all the way home.
