When my wife and I bought a house, we decided to install a compact boiler.

A compact boiler is a fantastic machine that can do a lot of different things. It can keep hot water and also provide heat to your home. My wife and I decided to install a compact boiler, because we wanted to use the hot water for radiant heat. My wife and I hired a contractor to give us an estimate for radiant heat throughout the entire home. We knew it was going to be expensive, but we qualified for some very nice incentive programs that gave us cash. My wife and I had to hire a plumber and an HVAC contractor to work side-by-side. The HVAC contractor handled all of the radiant flooring installation job, while the plumber tackled the installation of the compact boiler and all of the water pipes. We also installed radiant heating strips in the driveway. As they warm up, the snow and ice melts. We never have to worry about shoveling the driveway in a winter storm. After the HVAC contractor and plumber were finished with their part of the job, my wife and I hired a flooring contractor to put brand new flooring down over the radiant heating strips. Now that the job is finished, my wife and I are very happy with the boiler and the radiant key. It was a long and difficult process to get everything installed and working, but now that all the kinks are worked out, it is easily our favorite part of the house.
