I bought a good sized building that is going to be a new business. I am opening up a bakery hopefully sooner rather than later. After purchasing the space and a lot of the baking equipment, I quickly realized I am getting tight on funds. I either can get the tables and chairs that I want, but no HVAC equipment or I get second hand furniture with a good ductless HVAC device. I can’t decide which way to go. I am sure I could find something comfortable and cute second hand, but nothing would match. It also would take a lot of time to find everything that is perfect. The furniture set I am looking at is all modern and classy too. It would really make my space pop and look very edgy. However, not having any heating and air conditioning has me worried. I mean I could afford to buy a few space heaters and windows air conditioners, but that would look terrible. Right now it is the springtime and the weather is cooperating. I could get by without any heating or cooling. Summer is just around the corner though. I would hate to not have any AC on a 90 degree day and that is possible. With the ovens going and people creating body heat, I think it could be a hot box and affect my business. So sadly, I am leaning towards getting better HVAC equipment and just waiting to buy the chairs and tables of my dreams. I can always upgrade those later down the line.
