Last Wednesday, I got into an accident on the freeway, then i was lost in thought and I didn’t realize that the truck in front of me applied their brakes.

I was thinking about our ex lady, however both of us broke up the day before that and I was still angry and exasperated with the situation.

I wasn’t seeing traffic when the driver braked. I tried to swerve left and right, despite the fact that I still slammed into the back of the truck. the truck and I pulled over to the side of the freeway so all of us could exchange information. I didn’t realize that the truck was a commercial vehicle until I saw the driver get out of the vehicle, then the guy was wearing a uniform shirt and pants, and as he got closer to our car, I could see that she worked for an HVAC service dealer. The guy looked angry and I tried to apologize as soon as he came near. The guy was yelling about being late for an HVAC repair. I didn’t guess there was a lot of injure to the labor truck and our car, so I provided to exchange information instead of calling the police. The driver of the HVAC service truck said it was policy to contact the police whenever the dealer vehicle is involved in an accident, however lucky for both of us, there was a police cruiser only one mile away. The police took our information and both of us drove away from the scene about 30 minutes later. I’m sure our insurance dealer is going to raise our rates after this accident. It’s the third one this year.
