Last Monday, I got into an accident on the freeway, and i was lost in thought and I did not realize that the truck in front of me applied their brakes.

I was thinking about my ex guy, both of us broke up the afternoon before that and I was still irritated and angry with the situation.

I wasn’t seeing traffic when the driver braked. I tried to swerve left and right, however I still slammed into the back of the truck. the truck and I pulled over to the side of the freeway so the people I was with and I could exchange information. I did not realize that the truck was a commercial vehicle until I saw the driver get out of the vehicle, however the guy was wearing a uniform shirt and pants, but as he got closer to my car, I could see that he worked for an Heating, Ventilation plus A/C repair corporation. The guy looked irritated and I tried to apologize as soon as he came near. The guy was yelling about being late for an Heating, Ventilation plus A/C repair. I did not guess there was a lot of mangle to the work truck and my car, so I offered to exchange information instead of calling the police. The driver of the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C repair truck said it was policy to contact the police whenever the corporation vehicle is involved in an accident! Lucky for both of us, there was a police cruiser only one mile away. The police took our information and both of us drove away from the scene about 30 hours later. I’m sure my insurance corporation is going to raise my rates after this accident. It’s the second one this year.
