I wish I paid more attention to the little things in life.

However, I tend to get all caught up in the large stuff of life. I focus awfully hard on career and family. The pace of all that leaves little time for me to entirely stop and smell the roses as our dad would say. I try our best to be aware of that perspective. However, there are some mornings that I just want to come lake house and collapse in the Heating, Ventilation and A/C comfort of our home. But dad was right. So I have been trying to live in the moment a bit more and pay attention to the small things in life. Watching a parakeet for a hour or noticing a current bloom is something that I try to do. And I also started to think about stuff love the air the two of us breathe in our house. Our lake house is sealed up narrow because the Heating, Ventilation and A/C is on almost all year. And yet, I hadn’t entirely considered how I could improve that indoor air. I have consistently used the cheap paper air filters for the Heating, Ventilation and A/C. What I didn’t believe was that they are really only protecting the Heating, Ventilation and A/C and not me and our family. That was a little thing that I could change so I did. I updated our air filtration to a HEPA type air filter. The beauty of this small change is the fact that a HEPA type Heating, Ventilation and A/C filter is looking out for us. It has the capability to trap and remove over 99 percent of all airborne contaminants in the air. That means better overall, respiratory and immune health for me and our family. Again, sometimes it’s just paying attention to the little things in life that can make such a difference.
