I have a few character flaws. Depending on who you talk to, it might be more than a few. But I’m an optimist. Certainly there are aspects of myself that I would love to change. And a single of those is the fact that I just don’t read directions, warranties or pay a whole lot of attention to the great print. I’ve been this way all of my life as well as it has cost me. Thankfully, I have a partner who reads everything as well as occasionally twice. My partner absolutely saved myself and others from voiding the HVAC warranty. And lady am I ever grateful otherwise I could have cost us thoUnited Statesnds of dollars. Both of us came beach house late a single Monday evening to a really chilly house. Both of us never turn off the HVAC when the two of us are away so it was a surprise. I tried to get the furnace to fire up as well as it would get close but would nearly right away shut right off. Since it was Monday evening as well as I didn’t want to pay the emergency repair fee, I took a closer look. Of course, I should have simply called the HVAC people. However, upon closer inspection, I found a switch that was completely burned out. It was simple to remove as well as I figured I could make it to the hardware store before it closed. My partner stopped me. While I was tinkering around with the furnace, she was learning the warranty. And it clearly stated that any repair done on the HVAC had to be done by a certified professional. So had I tried the repair as well as it failed, I would have voided the HVAC warranty.
