I knew that our home would do well with a medium horse-powered fan since it was pretty mid-sized. I did not intend to leave the fan on for too long; as long as I felt cool enough, I would consistently turn it off. All I wanted was to create a light breeze for when the Heating and A/C seemed exceptionally slow. I knew I had to contend with the noises that come with the fan, however this was a sacrifice I was willing to make.
