The dog heard a sound in the ductwork

A few months ago, my wife found a puppy in the dumpster at her work.

As soon as she found the puppy, she called me to find out if she could bring it home. I wasn’t exactly thrilled with the idea of a pet in the house, but I could not say no when I saw the cute face. My wife and I named the puppy Titan. Titan is starting to get bigger now and he has a lot of energy. Thank goodness my wife and I live in a house instead of an apartment. Titan spends hours and hours running around in the backyard. Neither one of us would have enough energy to walk him 6 or 7 times a day. Last weekend, Titan was laying by the air vent that leads to the ductwork in our house. The air conditioner was running at the time. Titan started barking at the air vents and I thought he was rattled by the sound of the air conditioner. When the air conditioner stopped running, Titan continued to bark at the air vent. I finally decided to put the dog outside when he would not stop making noise. When my wife got home from work, I told her about the strange thing that the dog did. She told me that we might have a mouse or an animal in the ductwork. I never thought for a moment that the dog was trying to alert us of an issue. I thought my wife was crazy, but I agreed to call an HVAC repair company to check the ductwork.
