Some people take budgeting to extreme levels… I clip coupons at times, and am not afraid to be thrifty so I can save up some currency, however there are certainly limits… My best friend Bobby calls himself an extreme saver, however to myself and others he is just plain nuts.

Don’t get me wrong I care about him to death, however I do not get a lot of his choices in life.

Why in the world would someone endure such discomfort all the time to save a few bucks? To myself and others that is what currency is used for, to spend on things that make your life so much better! Sure I could save a large amount of currency every month if I stopped using the air conditioner appliance, however why would I do that? I could be irritated with a few more bucks in the bank, or use those bucks to run the air conditioner appliance and really enjoy myself a whole lot more. Bobby will only run his central air conditioner appliance for a single hour each afternoon, that is all he allows himself. He always says that 1 hour of cooling is enough to take the edge off, and cool his bedroom down enough to get some rest in the evening. Overnight his dwelling starts heating up again, and he is damp with sweat by the time he wakes up in the morning hours. He says it works for him just fine. Of course he also doesn’t work the A/C appliance in his car, so anytime we need to go somewhere, I always insist on driving us. When the summers get legitimately sizzling, I notice that Bobby starts fishing for invites, to come over and hang out with my air conditioner appliance.
