Jack and I work at a taco stand. The building is small and it needs to be remodeled. The taco stand is one of the busiest places to eat on a Friday night. We are open much later than other restaurants in the area, so we have a steady stream of business when the bars close.Last Friday night, Jack and I were working together and it was a busy day and night. Around 8 at night, the AC stopped blowing cold air in the kitchen. Jack tried to fix the AC, but nothing that we tried seemed to work. I called the boss at home and told the guy that the AC was not working. The boss said that he would have a service technician look at the AC unit in the morning. Jack and I came back to work on Saturday night and the AC problem was still there. The AC still wasn’t fixed on Sunday when we went to work. It was 86 degrees in the back of the building and I thought I was going to faint. The heat and humidity aren’t going to get any better since summer is right around the corner. Jack and I have Monday and Tuesday off together and then we are supposed to go back to work on Wednesday. The taco stand is always closed on Monday and Tuesday so it is the perfect time to repair or replace the old AC equipment. I really hope the boss will get the problem fixed while we have a couple of days off.
