People tend to believe that just because I live way up here in the mountains that I am backwards or primitive or something ridiculous like that! Listen here, just because I appreciate hunting & fishing for my food, & growing my own crops, doesn’t make me primitive by any means.

I certainly have a lot of the same tech you have in your household, however on top of that I can also live a self adequate lifestyle & not depend on anyone for my necessities. I have electricity, & a backup generator for emergency situations. I can still survive without it though. I prefer having WIFI, cable tv, & air conditioning, however without power I can still go on with my life perfectly fine. I have a central Heating, Ventilation & A/C device that provides me with heating & cooling, however that is far from my only heat source. I have a dozen ways of heating the cottage up without electrical power of any sort, even if I do lose many of my creature comforts. I don’t need an air conditioner device to survive, however several months a year I do require heat to live. I always keep a good 3 month wood supply for the wood furnace, just in case of a bad situation. I never have lost power for a long amount of time, however if I did, I would just miss a few tv shows, & entirely get a bit sizzling with no AC device. Don’t get me wrong, I prefer a cooling device as much as the next guy, however I won’t act like a total baby if I have to go without the A/C.
