I never actually knew a single thing about residence ownership before I found myself in possession of this property. Honestly, I did not ask for any of this responsibility, however my outdated family beach residence was left to me when my Grandpa passed away. Now, it is my task to make sure that everything is in amazing shape around the residence whether I know what I am doing or not! I am often trying to renovate the beach residence so it would be livable for any one of my family members or sellable for a profit. Unfortunately, the beach house is lacking new amenities… When I got it, the beach residence had an outdated central heating, cooling, and air quality control machine that was not up to today’s new energy Efficiency standards! You pretty much had to run the central heating and cooling system forever to maintain any kind of indoor air quality. The utility bills were often through the roof and I knew that the Heating plus A/C machine was a small part of the problem. The other setback is the horrible lack of insulation in the residence. I came to see a long time ago that the attic had awful insulation that did not contain any of the high-quality treated indoor air. The doors and windows were awfully drafty and needed extra insulation. Furthermore, there was no buffer between the bitterly chilly basement and the first floor. By insulating all of these areas I effectively decreased the energy inefficiency complication and bought myself some more time to substitute the central Heating plus A/C machine! At least I am actually learning how to be a responsible homeowner now.
