Why did not they tell me it wasn't free?
When I was experiencing some trouble with the AC, I called a local Heating & A/C maintenance supplier to make an appointment.
- I did not think what was wrong with the device and I did not think if I had enough money to maintenance the AC.
I only wanted to get an estimate for the work, so I called the maintenance supplier. The lady on the cellphone that helps me make an appointment did not tell me that there was going to be a charge for the estimate. I assumed that it would be free. After the worker completed the evaluation on my AC, he told me that it was going to cost $550 to make the repairs. I told them that I could not afford to make those repairs at this time, and I thanked the guy for coming over to look at the system, and he handed me a bill for $99 and he expected me to pay it with my debit card. I told the guy that I thought it was a free estimate and he told me that nothing in life is free. That made me absolutely frustrated and mad and I decided to call the Heating & A/C supplier. I spoke to the same woman that helped me make an appointment. He apologized for not stating that there was a fee for the estimate, but she told me that I had to pay the bill. I politely and firmly told the woman that I did not have $99 to pay the fee. I told the woman on the cellphone and the Heating & A/C worker that they could build me if they wanted to get the money.
