Bad odour pazzles the air conditioning professional

When my parents died, my siblings and I had already moved out to live on our own.

Some of us already have families, and we hardly visit our hometown anymore.

However, during Veterans Day, all 3 of us decided to take time and visit our home. We arrived the evening before the day and cleaned up the whole house. Later that night, we couldn’t stand some smell spreading across the house, but worse still, we couldn’t identify its source. So the following day, we all took time early in the morning to figure out the source and my brother finally blamed it on the air conditioning system. Since we didn’t know air conditioner install or furnace/heater repair, we checked online for the closest 24-hour air conditioning business that sent over an air conditioner professional in a few hours. When he arrived, we explained to him why we suspected the ac unit, and his first question was how long we had been away from the house. Once he had his answer, he went straight for the air filter and other fittings to clear blockages, debris, and filth stuck in the unit. The exercise took about an hour, and good air quality was restored. The units were not covered with homeowner solutions, so we paid out of pocket, but the a/c repairman advised us to use the HVAC to minimize blockage or damage regularly. Otherwise, we would have to budget for the new HVAC. He, however, promised to check with the cooling and heating provider that sent him, if we can sign up for solutions or sign up with a new contractor in the cooling industry.
