One of our coworkers was hosting a celebration not so long ago.

I decided to attend the elaborate event.

I wasn’t looking forward to going out of my way and mingling with our co-workers, however it was close to the holidays that year and I could not come up with any nice reason not to go. My wifey finally agreed to attend the event with me. When the people I was with and I arrived at the necessary house, many of our peers were already inside, and everyone was happily drinking and having a nice time and I was surprised by the fun and blissful atmosphere they created . I had a few drinks and our wifey and I started to relax. The songs were very loud and the selection of songs was better than I would have expected. My kind coworker came to say hello after the people I was with and I were standing in the place for 30 minutes. He provided us a tour of the entire space which included all of the spaces upstairs. My wifey and I walked up stairs after him and the first thing the people I was with and I saw was a large and impressive stone fireplace in the middle of the landing. The upstairs space was a single large room with just the huge stone fireplace in the middle. Walking up stairs felt as if we were going into a bar and it was a genuinely cool design. The fireplace added a cool design element and the whole room reminded myself and others of a ski lodge or hunting lodge. I loved it. Plus, the fireplace was something to talk about.
