For the past 15 years, I have been working in the service industry. I’ve held a number of jobs like sales clerk, telemarketer, restaurant manager, and hostess. Whenever I’m around any of those guys, the topic is usually something that has to do with heating or air-conditioning. The chiller and boiler rental company wasn’t looking for a full-time employee, but they were really impressed with my knowledge and resume. I sold four rental contracts before lunch. Before I left at the end of the day, they offered me a full-time position with benefits. It’s been two weeks since I started with her company and I just received my first paycheck. I’m making a decent hourly wage and I have medical, dental, and vision benefits starting on the first day of the next month.
