I wanted something affordable with a backyard and a fireplace.

We found a great compromise and immediately placed a competitive offer on the house. My wife and I were hoping to walk away with some cash left in the bank, but the house used all of our savings. We didn’t have a lot of money to make unnecessary repairs or upgrades in the beginning. We found cheap paint in the store and use those colors to make the house brighter. We kept the same carpet and hired a company to clean the floors. Unfortunately, there was nothing we could do to fix the HVAC unit when it stopped working. My wife and I woke up on a Thursday morning and it was very hot and humid inside of the house. I could not feel a breeze from the overhead air vent, but the fan was still blowing in my direction. I knew the power was on and the problem was definitely with the air conditioner. I immediately called a local HVAC company to come check the air conditioner. My wife and I found out that we need a new air compressor and it’s going to cost an arm and a leg to make the necessary repairs. I had to use the emergency credit card to pay for the air conditioner repairs. The interest rate on that card is high, because I never use it. Hopefully I will be able to transfer the balance to another card next month.
