They check my allergies and my breathing and make sure that all of the medications are working properly.

I was on easy about going to the doctor last month, but the receptionist assured me that they are following social distancing guidelines. She told me everyone is required to wear a mask and they are only allowing the patient in the building. When I went to my appointment, I was happy to see all of the patients following the rules. Everyone was wearing a mask and sitting at least six feet away from each other. The office waiting room had a large commercial air purifier. It was vented to the ceiling and it ran continuously while I was in the office. The commercial air purifier is a great way to keep viruses, germs, and bacteria out of the indoor air and that will help keep everyone safe during this time. The commercial air purifier seemed to work well, but the machine was extremely loud and annoying. No one was sitting in any of the chairs by the air purifier, because of the noise. I found a place to stand by the water cooler and I waited for my name to be called. As soon as I left the waiting room, I was happy to get away from that loud noise. Unfortunately, the nurses station on the other side had another loud air purifier too. The rest of the day I heard the sound of industrial machines ringing in my ear.
