It was not easy for me when I first started college since I didn’t really have the skills to take care of myself. I especially struggled with things like cooking and doing laundry. I didn’t actually have laundry equipment in my apartment, so I would have to take my dirty clothes to a laundromat. I always hated going to the laundromat too because the air quality was poor and there was hardly any climate control. The place kept warm enough doing the winter season, but it still wasn’t very comfortable. I wish they would have had a good air purification system to improve the air quality and I wished they had a better cooling system for the warm season. The thing is, my apartment did have a place with laundry hookups for a washer and dryer, but I didn’t have the money to invest in that. Eventually, I was able to save up some money though, and I was so glad that I did. I finally was able to get a used washer and dryer, and I even had enough money to invest in a nice UV air purifier. I use that UV air purifier all the time and it has improved the air quality in my apartment so much! It was so nice not having to take all of my dirty clothes to the laundromat where I always felt uncomfortable. I was able to relax in my apartment while taking care of the laundry, and I have improved my cooking over the years as well. I guess the only way to learn how to take care of yourself is to just dive into life.
