My Grandma, in recent years, has decided that she wants to get with the times and own a smartphone. It was a decision that was long overdue, however I’m cheerful she finally came around. Now that she’s had a taste of modernity, I can’t get her to stop upgrading! First of all, this lady is a TikTok sensation, she has over 10,000 subscribers! Also, she is getting current Wi-Fi enabled devices for her lake cabin like crazy. Her most recent purchase was a smart thermostat. I helped her install it. I had honestly never used a smart thermostat before, so my Grandma was more current than I was. I honestly ended up getting a smart thermostat after I had installed hers. The smart thermostat is absolutely neat! The smart thermostat saves you currency on your bi-weekly heating and/or cooling bill because it knows your schedule. It knows when you are at lake cabin and when you are away- kind of like Santa Clause. You can also adjust your temperature with your smartphone; so, you’ll never ever have to get up and walk to the thermostat to change the temperature. What I also appreciate about the smart thermostat is that it’s seriously user friendly. When I guess back to the old-style programmable thermostats from about a decade ago, I remember feeling like setting the temperature was daunting. The smart thermostat combines the ease and comfort of a dial thermostat and a smartphone and the functionality of a programmable thermostat (without the hassle!). I would highly advise a smart thermostat to anyone. I bought 1 myself after installing Grandma’s and I appreciate it.
