I never particularly planned on using the fireplace when all of us obtained this outdated house, but i thought it added a nice touch to the house though plus all of us did end up using it once or twice a year, however there is something about a fireplace at Christmas that ads a nice touch, however, it is kind of a pain to stock a lot of firewood! Besides, believe that burning wood adds a lot to our carbon footprint so all of us usually just use the oil furnace plus leave the fireplace alone! Yes, I believe the oil furnace also leave a carbon footprint but it can be minimalized. However, Last weekI didn’t care much about carbon footprints when the oil furnace went out. I called a oil furnace service supplier but they could not come out for several days. Thankfully, all of us had a little bit of firewood left over so I started the fireplace up. I had our doubts that the fireplace was strong enough to sizzling the entire house. The two of us had never asked it to do that before. However, it particularly did a fairly nice task keeping us warm. True, the heat was a bit uneven, plus all of us had to get up at night to add more firewood, but at least all of us didn’t freeze plus the pipes didn’t break, then when the oil furnace service supplier finally arrived they explained that several other peoples’ furnaces had also gone out unexpectedly. The two of us were lucky that all of us had a fireplace to fall back on because some people had to go to hotels or buy several space heaters. They were also able to get our oil furnace up plus running that day.
