I was surprised the other week when a couple of HVAC technicians arrived at my door.

They were talking about this community initiative where they were trying to get people to donate their HVAC systems to help those in the community who needed an HVAC system.

When I asked what was in it for me, they said that if I donated my HVAC, I would be able to get 25% off on a new HVAC installation. My HVAC was a little old and I told them this, and they said that didn’t matter. So I decided to go for this deal. I figured if I was helping somebody by donating my HVAC unit, then I was doing a good thing. I also thought that was a good deal to get a new HVAC unit installed for 25% off. I figured I could use a modern HVAC unit that had greater energy efficiency. So I arranged for them to pick up my old HVAC and to install the new HVAC unit. They said I was doing a good thing because they were going to bring my old HVAC unit to a family who was in need. I was happy to hear that I was actually helping somebody out like that. I also loved the fact that I was getting this fine deal on this new HVAC unit, and it would last me for another 15 to 20 years. The thing I loved most about the new HVAC unit is that the energy efficiency was really great. Before I knew it, my energy bills dropped a good amount and I told others about this community initiative with this HVAC company. I was able to provide some referrals and more people decided to donate their old HVAC units.
