We’ve never had to clean the air ducts in our office, but now that the government has been shutting everything down, we thought it was the perfect time to do it. I never really knew how dirty our ventilation system was getting, since your air ducts and vents are pretty much tucked away in walls, floors, and ceilings where you never really look. But when we had the HVAC technician come into the office one day to professionally clean all of our HVAC ductwork, I realized that we probably should have been having our ventilation systems cleaned much more regularly. I’m not sure why, but the air ducts in our office building were absolutely filthy. There was dust, dirt, and debris all over the sheet metal in the air ducts. It makes me shudder to think that my business partner and I, along with all of our employees, had been breathing this stuff in for years! I was very happy when the HVAC technician finished with the air duct cleaning. It might have just been all in my head, but it seemed to me that the indoor air quality in the office improved almost immediately. I decided to have the HVAC technician check our thermostat and our heating and cooling system while he was there, too. He suggested that we invest in an air purification system to run with the office HVAC system. He assured me that an air purifier would definitely help with improving the indoor air quality in the office on a regular basis. I think we will definitely try it!
