In the fifteen years I have had our a/c unit, I have never had a single problem. I have our correct maintenance done on the a/c. The A/C unit gets cleaned and if there are minor repairs needed, the HVAC corporation will do it at that time. My air filters get changed weekly because of our having allergies and asthma. Wouldn’t you believe it; just when this pandemic is wreaking havoc with our lives, our a/c is on the fritz. I called both of our local HVAC companies, but neither 1 of them are laboring at this time. I displayed for an HVAC specialist, and I even described the sounds and what was going on with the A/C unit, but they were all sheltering-in-place and no 1 wanted to come out of their homes. I thought they considered HVAC companies to be necessary businesses. I understand that I live in an section where the virus is running rampant, but I plan on wearing a mask if the HVAC corporation will come to our house. I have no complication with seeing people with masks in public. I do have a complication with not seeing them wearing their masks in public. I suppose they are unnecessarily risking the lives of others, for the sake of comfort and vanity. I am more anxious with having our a/c unit repaired. Summer has arrived early in our neck of the woods. Families have their pools opened. I don’t have a pool to cool me off, so I rely on our a/c. Maybe I should pull the ‘old peoples’ card and look for their sympathy toward the elderly.
