Broken air conditioner in work van

Thinking back, I don’t think I’ve ever had a job that I didn’t like.

I’ve always managed to find work in areas that interest me in some way or another.

I’ve gotten very lucky with switching into new careers and progressing quickly through the ranks. These days, I don’t sit at a desk like most of my friends. I have found another intriguing job that allows me to drive around throughout the workday day and meet new people. I now work as an HVAC serviceman. I am extremely satisfied with the demands of the job. Most people seem rather curious about the requirements of an HVAC contractor. My clients often ask me about the problems I’ve uncovered when cleaning or sealing air ducts. They want to know about the oldest furnace I’ve ever repaired, or the dirtiest air filter I’ve ever replaced. Once in a while, someone asks if I enjoyed driving around from one house to the next, or even commercial facilities across the area. I work for a large HVAC company and we extend our services across three different counties. For the most part, I don’t mind being on the road. I like facing new challenges and providing a cost-effective solution. One of my only complaints is that my HVAC work van has the worst air conditioner I’ve ever experienced. In the summer months, when I’m driving from one job to the neck, I’m drenched in sweat. I leave the windows down all the way, because the air conditioning does not produce enough cold air. I’ve tried to fix the van’s A/C myself several times, but the equipment for a vehicle is much different than in the house. So, I’ve been living with an overheated van for several years now.
