Most people have dogs or cats for their pets, but not me. I have this huge iguana that I call Sylvester, Sylvester is the sweetest thing on this earth, but I found out that he doesn’t like my boyfriend. I guess the first sign that Sylvester didn’t like him, was when he wrapped his tail around his neck like he does mine, but he scraped it away and took skin with him. The other thing Sylvester does when my boyfriend comes over, is to lay on the air vent that is closest to him. My boyfriend gets so angry because he said that it is like Sylvester is trying to freeze him out. I told him that I would keep him warm, but he decided it was time to go home. I didn’t hear much from him after that. Then last week, I met a new guy. I don’t know what the difference was but Sylvester didn’t bother with him. He came over and gave him that Iguana up and down look and then curled up in the corner near the air vent. He loves it there when the furnace turns on. He can stay warm and cozy. I never tell him to go into his cage because he is also litter trained. Yesterday he was lying near the air vent when my new boyfriend showed up. Sylvester came over and wrapped around him and snuggled on the sofa behind him. I knew he was feeling the warmth of the sun coming in through the window. I’m glad that Sylvester didn’t take up his spot on the air vent, or scrape his tail over my new guy’s neck. I really like him.
