I know that it does not make much sense, but I think that my dehumidifier is making me sick. I have had the same dehumidifier for almost five years now, and I have used it 24/7 every single summer. My house gets pretty humid during the summer months, and my dehumidifier is the only thing that saves me. I do not mind the heat, but I hate the humidity. I do not have any air conditioners because I do not think that they are necessary. I know that they would get rid of my humidity issues, but I do not like being cold all of the time, and I know that anytime I am in an air conditioned house, I am cold. My husband does not mind the heat either. Neither of us had air conditioning growing up, so I am sure that has to do with why we do not think that it is necessary. Many of our friends and family think that we are crazy for not using air conditioning in our house, but to us, it is normal. My dehumidifier is all that I have, but I am afraid that it is making me sick because I started getting sick the first week that I turned it on, and I was sick all the way through the summer. I did not get better until a few days after I had stopped using my dehumidifier. I am going to test it out in the next couple of days. I am going to use my dehumidifier again even though I don’t need it just to see if it makes me sick or not.
